On Acid
There is no way to successfully reproduce the psychotropic experience on film. It's impossible because it's so personal. These old filmed experiments were to record behavior as if the perceived subjects could reveal what happens when people injest substances that enable the psychedelic state. It'll always fail.
Reason I penned this is because I just downloaded Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream, possibly the best depiction of a drugged state put on film, however still a remote, objective portrayal of simple behavior.
